- Documentation for the Init Disk Desk Accessory
- ----------------------------------------------
-
- This was one of my first programs for the OSS Pascal Language. It took a
- while to get the hang of things. I learned a lot and that is what is
- important. My reasoning for writing an already existant format utility?
- I am now using the Megamax C with the shell. Many a time, I have been caught
- no blank disks and had to exit out of the program. It only took a few times
- for me to realize that I needed a desk accessory version of the formatter.
-
- This utility does nothing more than the GEM desktop does. The advantage, is
- you don't have to keep clicking the icon, then saying yes, I don't mind, and
- finally saying format. The safety feature allows you to control whether the
- system asks you if you want to format. By default, it is on. You can set it
- to off after the computer is started and it will remain until you power down
- at the end of the day.
